If you are new to the Internet, the following links will take you to some essential downloadable software programs. Most of these programs are free and some are trial versions but all will make your Internet experience better.
Music Match - The best Music player on the net! This program will play all music formats including MP3, WAV, CDs and many more! Great trial version allows you to do everything except burn CDs. This is definitely worth upgrading to the full program.
Win MX - This program is the replacement of Napster. This software is free and will get you connected to the music-sharing world. Find any song you want and download it for free.
KaZaa - This software works much like Win MX does. It lets you share computer files with the rest of the world. I love this program because it's free and it allows you to download any type of file, software or movies. You name it! However, for music go with Win MX
Win Zip - This is not as flashy as the other programs but it is probably the most important. This program lets you unzip compressed files that you will most definitely want to download from the Internet. This software has a great trial version and once again is worth buying.
Netscape - This one is the best! There is no better web browser on the market and it is free just like that crappy one (made by Microsoft) Explorer. This web browser lets you change it's appearance and settings very easily. This browser is the most user-friendly on the market E-mail and the corresponding address book is particularly well integrated.
Adobe Acrobat Reader - An essential program for reading many of the sites on the Internet, most Internet users will eventually have to download Acrobat at some point in their browsing. This program is great because it allows you to view a format of text that will work on any computer. It is small on drive space, free and allows you to view text in a great format.
Real Player - This one is really great! It allows you to view media, live or recorded, on the Internet. It will allow you to hear radio stations, music, watch TV and Movie Ads from around the world. This program also has a trial version and a free basic program that is already integrated with Netscape.
Apple Quick Time Player - This one comes from the best computer company in the world. This software lets you watch movies and view some images and animation's on certain web sites. This software is easy to use and is available as a trial version.
